Tracing Tales on the Overland Trails with Historian Terri Geissinger. This Meeteetse Museums Member Event will be at 2:00 PM at the main Museum building. As a historian and a tenacious researcher, Terri set out to find the true tale of her pioneer family on the Oregon Trail in 1851. Following 170-year-old breadcrumb clues was challenging however, one subtle lead would open another and through the years, an incredible story of faith and undaunted courage unfolded. She will be sharing her discoveries, knowledge and tips on how to trace your heritage footsteps through time on the trails of yesteryear.
Terri Lynn Geissinger, a proud descendant of Wyoming Pioneers, lives in Thermopolis and is the great-granddaughter of Lucy Morrison Moore also known as the Sheep Queen of Wyoming.
